CSW Fall 2011 Travel Grants

Funding Available for UCLA Graduate Students

The Travel Awards program assists UCLA graduate students with travel
expenses related to their research on women, gender, and sexuality and
enables them to present papers at professional conferences. Students may
apply for a grant to fund travel that has occurred since the last award
deadline (the prior 6 months) or travel that will occur within the
following 6 months. Awards may be used only for transportation costs to
and from the conference or place of research.

 

Applications are due by Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 5:30p.m.

 

In order to complete the online application you will need to provide the
following:

 

-          1-3 page Abstract of research or conference paper given

-          Curriculum Vitae

-          UCLA Transcripts (unofficial are acceptable)

-          Confirmation that your paper was accepted to a conference (if
applicable)

-          Letter of recommendation from a Faculty Member (should be
mailed to CSW in a sealed envelope with recommender's signature across
the back flap. Mailing information is provided in the application form)

After all of the applications are received, our review committee will
make a final selection and notices will be sent at the end of November.
If awarded a grant, you will be asked to send us a completed Travel
Reimbursement form (to be provided) with original travel receipts.
