DESCRIPTION

The Center for the Study of Women offers grants to all UCLA faculty for research development, new project development that may lead to external funding opportunities through CSW, and project completion that could be considered for CSW publications (policy briefs, research reports).

Preference will be given to junior faculty and projects that link to CSW’s current research projects (for example, Feminism and the Senses, Chemical Entanglements, Food | Water | Shelter, ). For more information regarding CSW’s current research projects, visit here.

AMOUNT

Award amounts will generally range from $1500 to $3000

CRITERIA

TO APPLY

The application requires the following documents:

  1. CV
  2. Research Proposal (3 single-spaced maximum description that includes the title and an explanation of the proposed research)
  3. Bibliography
  4. Itemized Budget (1 page statement describing how funds will be used)

POST-AWARD REQUIREMENTS

Recipients of the award are required to

  1. Submit a brief final report describing the outcomes of the project (e-mailed to CSW at [log in to unmask]).
  2. Write a blog post about their research for the CSW website.
  3. E-mail citations/links for any publications that result from the project. CSW will include this information in our Annual Report.

Only complete applications will be considered. CSW must receive all required documents no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Friday, May 6, 2016.
