This award recognizes an outstanding research report, thesis, or article related to women and health or women in health-related endeavors. It is named for Elizabeth Blackwell, MD, the first woman to graduate from medical school and made possible by the generosity of Dr. Penny Kanner.

One $1000 award.

Criteria
- Applicant must be currently registered undergraduate at UCLA.
- The research report, thesis, or article must have been written while the applicant was a UCLA undergraduate.
- Multi-authored articles will be considered, if the applicant can demonstrate significant contribution to the research.
Special Note

- Students who are receiving financial aid should consult with the Financial Aid Office. If you are selected as a recipient of this award, your financial aid package may be subject to revision.
