Renaissance Award Applications due by Thursday, November 27 at 5 pm The UCLA Center for the Study of Women (CSW) is now accepting applications for the 2012 Renaissance Award. This award, made possible with the generous donation from Dr. Myrna Hant, provides a $1,000 scholarship for the rebirth of academic aspirations amongwomen whose college careers were interrupted or delayed by family and/or career obligations and encourages achievement in the pursuit of a bachelor's degree at UCLA. In order to be eligible, the student must be a UCLA undergraduate woman who returned or is returning to college after a period of years. Students transferring from communitycollege as juniors and continuing UCLA undergraduates are also encouraged to apply. All applicants must be eligible for financial aid or student loans. In order to complete the online application the following will need to be provided: - Personal Essay (describing your path to a college degree; what you have accomplished academically, personally, and in the community; and what earning a degree from UCLA means to you. - CV - Transcripts (unofficial copy is acceptable) - Letters of recommendation from two faculty members: one for academic work and one about community involvement or a personal reference Please visit the link below for more information and to fill in the online application: http://www.csw.ucla.edu/current-projects/for-undergrads/Renaissance%20Award We cannot accept late or incomplete applications.
