UCLA Center for the Study of Women Seeks Coordinator for Thinking Gender 2013

The paid position is open to current UCLA graduate students who have or will be advanced to doctoral candidacy by Fall 2012.  The Coordinator will plan and manage the event in conjunction with CSW staff.  The conference coordination will run from approximately August 2012 through February 2013.

Thinking Gender is an annual public graduate research conference that draws graduate students from across the disciplines—humanities, social sciences, life sciences, arts, law, education, public health, and public policy—to share feminist research on women, sexuality, and gender.  The conference will be held on February 1, 2013.

APPLICATION MATERIALS

The application must contain the following materials in hard copy only:

One copy of:

• Cover Letter
• Curriculum Vitae
• Transcript (unofficial copy is acceptable)
• Letter of Recommendation from a faculty member who can speak to applicant’s organizational skills. (Letter should be sealed in an envelope with recommender’s signature across the back flap.)
