The Center for the Study of Women (CSW) is accepting applications for the
Thinking Gender 2009 Conference Coordinator. Thinking Gender
is an annual public conference that brings together graduate students from
across the disciplines - humanities, social sciences, life sciences, arts, law,
education, public health, and public policy - to share feminist research on
women, sexuality or gender. For more information about the conference, please click here.
The Center seeks an enthusiastic, responsible UCLA graduate student
with a scholarly interest in research on women, sexuality or gender. The
Conference Coordinator will plan and manage the event in conjunction with CSW
staff during the Fall 2008 and Winter 2009 quarters. The Coordinator position
provides an excellent opportunity to enhance organizational skills, gain a
behind-the-scenes perspective on an academic selection process, and interact
with innovative graduate student scholars and faculty from across the nation. This
is a paid position.
Applicants must be advanced to doctoral candidacy at UCLA.
