THINKING GENDER 2009 CONFERENCE COORDINATOR

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

DEADLINE: Monday, April 21, 2008 at 5:30 PM

The Center for the Study of Women (CSW) is accepting applications for the Thinking Gender 2009 Conference Coordinator.  Thinking Gender is an annual public conference that brings together graduate students from across the disciplines - humanities, social sciences, life sciences, arts, law, education, public health, and public policy - to share feminist research on women, sexuality or gender.

The Center seeks an enthusiastic, responsible UCLA graduate student with a scholarly interest in research on women, sexuality or gender.  The Conference Coordinator will plan and manage the event in conjunction with CSW staff during the Fall 2008 and Winter 2009 quarters.  The Coordinator position provides an excellent opportunity to enhance organizational skills, gain a behind-the-scenes perspective on an academic selection process, and interact with innovative graduate student scholars and faculty from across the nation.  This is a paid position.

Applicants must be advanced to doctoral candidacy at UCLA.
