Hello everyone,

I'm finishing an article about sexuality and Jewish Holocaust
survivors in which I discuss the sexual abuse of concentration camps
inmates. Most reported cases were of men abusing boys, although there
a some reported instances of women abusing girls. The sexual
segregation of prisoners within the concentration camps meant that
encounters between males and females were few.

Most of the abusers/rapists were privileged heterosexual prisoners who
targeted same-sex victims. It has occurred to me that there may be
parallels to prison rape in terms of motivations of the perpetrators
as well as the consequences for the victims.

I am new to this area of study, and would appreciate suggestions for
where to look for the most current/respected research on prison rape.

Thank you!
Margarete
